I joined Teamsters Local 633 in 2016 when my co-workers and I at the Cheshire County Department of Corrections organized our bargaining unit. I became a Steward in 2017 and spent several years gaining experience at the bargaining table, handling grievances, and participating in regular internal organizing. I was made a Trustee in 2020. In 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Local in a full time capacity working primarily as an organizer both locally and with the Amazon Division. During that time, I was able to experience more representational activities with the new units that we, at the Local, were organizing. In 2023, I was made an IBT Field organizer, to continue expanding my organizing and representational activities.
