Teamsters Local 633 Business Agent and Political Coordinator Rick Laughton recently testified in support of House Bill 1537. This bill is relative to the use of high-resolution cameras to identify school bus stop light violators. Teamsters Local 633 represents hundreds of school bus drivers throughout the state of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. This bill is extremely important to the safety of our children that we transport every day. While there was no opposition presented there were issues as to the cost and who would bear the cost if it would be each individual School District or the companies providing the buses. We will continue to monitor this very important bill and speak in favor of it at every opportunity.
