Teamsters Local 633 & Associated Grocers of New England on STRIKE
Just three days after being re-elected, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander and newly elected Executive Council Member Jim O’Connell joined Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro on the picket line at Associated Grocers, standing alongside our members in the pouring rain.
Congresswoman Goodlander spoke in support of the striking members and their families, as did Executive Council Member-elect Jim O’Connell. Both expressed their support for the members as they continue fighting for a fair contract and the protection of their hard-earned pension.
Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro addressed the members, stating:
“We at Local 633 support your actions against Associated Grocers and their plan to take away your pension. You also have the full support of the International Union in Washington, D.C. General President Sean O’Brien and Teamsters across the country stand with you in this fight for a fair contract.
Business Agent Keith Judge shared the following statement:
“I could not be prouder of our members. They are standing together in the pouring rain, defending their families and protecting the pension they earned through years of hard work. Mike Violette’s greed will not divide this membership or weaken our resolve.
Teamsters Local 633 stands shoulder to shoulder with our members for as long as it takes to secure a fair contract that protects their retirement security.
A special thank you to Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, Executive Council Member-elect Jim O’Connell, and State Representatives Ken Nivison and Mariana Beer of Pembroke for standing with our members and supporting working families. Your solidarity matters.
Our members deserve respect, and together, we will continue demanding it—at the bargaining table and on the picket line.
One Day Longer, One Day Stronger!”
