Teamsters Local 633 is proud to announce that the school bus safety bills in Concord, NH have successfully passed

Teamsters Local 633 is proud to announce that the school bus safety bills in Concord, NH have successfully passed.  This achievement is due in small to our political action fund DRIVE.  We also want to recognize our lobbyist, Jonathan Melanson, for keeping us informed throughout the legislative process. Special thanks to Joint Council 10 New England’s Political Director Bridget Quinn for her assistance and testimony in support of these bills. We are equally grateful to First Student driver Rob Everett at the Nashua location and Teamsters Local 633 Business Agent Rick Laughton stepping forward to testify.  This was truly a collective effort by your local union to help ensure drivers across the state can work safely while protecting the precious cargo that they carry every day. We will keep you updated as we await the governor’s signature on these bills.  Please see the attachments for the full bills.

HB 1308, relative to increasing the penalty for passing a stopped school bus. (Combined bill)
HB 1537, relative to the use of high-resolution cameras to identify school bus stop light violators.
