Teamsters Local Business Agent and Political Coordinator Rick Laughton recently testified against HB1704. This bill is another veiled attempt to weaken unions in the state of New Hampshire. It would allow for individual contracts in public sector groups between individual members and the governing body of each School Board, Town, City, County and State. If this were allowed, it would mean dozens and dozens of additional contracts would take the place of one single bargaining unit contract. There was not one governing body, City, Town, or County that spoke in support of this cumbersome and confusing proposed legislation.
